As a personal injury law firm, we at Easley & Houseal dedicate our practice to serving the needs of people who have been injured in car accidents, by medical malpractice, nursing home negligence or other accidents. Our clients come to us from all over Arkansas, and we are one of the leading personal injury law firms in Eastern Arkansas. We often represent cases from throughout the I-40 Corridor and we associate with lawyers for out-of-state cases involving accidents on Interstate 40.

We aggressively represent our client’s interests and have been extremely successful in obtaining significant verdicts and settlements for our clients.

Our lawyers focus on serious personal injury litigation. We are one of the few law firms with such a focus in Eastern Arkansas.

The Easley Houseal law firm is nationally recognized for being awarded high verdicts in personal injury cases. We have collected one of the largest personal injury punitive damage awarded in Arkansas history and our verdicts are listed in the National Law Journals Top 100 Verdicts for 2003.

Because of our reputation and success we are frequently recommended by our colleagues and former clients.

Mike Easley, our senior attorney, has received numerous awards including being named to the “Best Lawyers in America” list and has been voted an “Outstanding Trial Lawyer” by the Arkansas Trial Lawyers’ Association. He is also a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers. This honor is limited to the top 1% of all trial lawyers in the nation.

John Houseal Named to Million Dollar Advocates

Attorney John Houseal was recently named to the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

The Million Dollar Advocates Forum is recognized as one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. Membership is limited to attorneys who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts, awards and settlements. The organization was founded in 1993 and there are approximately 4000 members located throughout the country.

Fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members. Members must have acted as principal counsel in at least one case in which their client has received a verdict, award or settlement in the amount of one million dollars or more. Mr. Houseal is a graduate of The University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys

Mike Easley - Again Voted One of Arkansas' Best Lawyers in America 2009

Attorney Mike Easley has again been named one of the Best Lawyers in America. Best Lawyers is the most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession. Because the Best Lawyers publication is based purely on confidential recommendations from fellow lawyers, the lists have earned the respect of the profession, the media and the public as the most reliable, unbiased source of legal referrals anywhere.

Mr. Easley has appeared on the Best Lawyers in America listing since 2005 in the personal injury law specialty. To appear in this specialty category, Mr. Easley had to receive a positive rating from a high percentage of fellow personal injury lawyers in East Arkansas.

First published in 1983, Best Lawyers is the oldest lawyer-rated listing in the U.S. The 2009 compilation of The Best Lawyers in America is based on peer-review surveys in which more than 25,000 attorneys cast almost two million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their specialties.

Mike Easley is a partner in the Easley & Houseal Law Firm located in Forrest City, Arkansas. He is recognized for many notable and landmark personal injury legal cases including cases against the Union Pacific Railroad Company and the St. Louis SW Railroad.

Genetically Modified Rice Cases Moving Forward

In August 2006, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced that genetically altered rice had contaminated the commercial long-grain rice crop.
