Mike Easley maintains a “plaintiff-only” personal injury trial practice in Forrest City, AR with his partner and son-in-law, John Houseal. In 2004 Mr. Easley was named Arkansas’ most Outstanding Trial Lawyer by the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association. He holds th 2nd largest punitive damage verdict in Arkansas in Barber v. Union Pacific, which was one of the top 100 verdicts in America in 2002, as featured in the National Law Journal. He is a frequent and popular lecturer to trial attorneys on trial practice.
His practice focuses on civil trial work in automobile litigation, product liability, railroad, and medical malpractice. Mr. Easley is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers; is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, and America’s Outstanding Lawyers; is a Diplomate of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA); a member of the Million Dollar Advocates’ Forum; has since 1985 been a “Civil Trial Advocate” as designated by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is a former president of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Assn. (1989) and served as President of the Council of Presidents of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (now AAJ) from 1990-1991.
He has been married to the former Sarah Jordan since 1970, and they have three children. He is an elder of the Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church, and has taught Sunday School there since 1980.
